Paul Graham

Dr Paul Graham is Animal Welfare Party’s candidate for the Bicester West ward, Cherwell District Council. 

Paul is a university lecturer and has lived in the Kennedy Road area of Bicester since 2019.

“I’m passionate about animal rights and biodiversity.” says Paul, “Modelled on similar, successful parties in other countries, I feel that AWP is the only party that puts the relationship between humans and animals at its core. And we remain unwavering in our commitment to fighting climate change.

I’ll be a highly dedicated and independent-minded representative of all of Bicester West’s residents – human and non-human.

Paul’s is committed to:

  • Prioritising the climate and biodiversity crisis in all council decision-making
  • Fighting to support all families through the cost-of-living crisis, including those with companion animals
  • Campaigning for wildlife tunnels or native hedging in all new planning applications
  • Pushing back against environmentally destructive development
  • Working to enhance local biodiversity and protect healthy trees and hedgerows
  • Promoting healthy and sustainable plant-based food and drink in public settings
  • Encouraging ethical and sustainable businesses to make a home in our area
  • Opposing council use of pesticides and herbicides
  • Tackling fly-tipping and related anti-social behaviour
  • Protecting and championing open spaces and recreational facilities
