2026 England Local Elections
Animal Welfare Party will stand five candidates in the upcoming Local Elections in England on Thursday 7th May.
Animal Welfare Party’s candidates are:
Jacquie Cook for Hemingford Grey and Houghton ward (where Camp Beagle is located), Huntingdonshire District Council
Sasha Jolliffe Yasawi for Winton East, Charminster West & Talbot Woods ward, Bournemouth Town Council
Gavin Ridley for Branksome West & Penn Hill ward, Poole Town Council
Mike Kelson for Lavender Fields ward, London Borough of Merton
Paul Graham for Bicester West ward, Cherwell District Council
In each of these areas, AWP’s candidates will be standing for a different type of politics – one that rejects speciesism and egocentrism and puts sustainability and compassion at the centre of decision-making.
While our candidates campaign for local elections in England, our party list candidates will also be campaigning in the Scottish Parliament Elections in the region of Edinburgh & Lothians East.
