This result is broadly similar to the party’s 2021 result in which AWP’s party list received 44,667 votes (1.7%) and ranked seventh overall.

Overall, turnout for the elections was slightly down on 2021 with turnout at 40.5% compared to 42% in 2021.

“Tonight’s results are a tremendous source of validation and encouragement for the party” said AWP Leader, Vanessa Hudson. “Femy Amin has done extremely well in a Mayoral Election now held under First Past The Post and in the London-wide Assembly Election the party has maintained it’s 2021 success. Looking across the two contests, AWP received over 70,500 votes which, we believe, is just an incredible show of support for our vision of a fairer, more sustainable London for all. We extend a heartfelt thank you to all those voting for AWP and supporting our campaign in so many ways.”
