AWP’s 2023 AGM – Committee Re-elected, Plans for Year Ahead Discussed

Animal Welfare Party held its 2023 AGM on Sunday 26th February. The party’s first hybrid AGM, the meeting took place both on-line via the Zoom platform and in person at The Crown Plaza, London Kings Cross. The meeting was recorded and will be made available to party Members in due course.

Over the course of the meeting, the party’s activities over the past year, membership and financial status were reviewed. Members were thanked for all their support for the party over the past year.

AWP Celebrates Encouraging Local Election Results

Animal Welfare Party is celebrating encouraging results in last week’s local elections in which the party stood two candidates:

In Southend’s Victoria Ward, where AWP’s candidate Rik Moran stood for the first time, he received 105 votes / 3%.

In Croydon’s Addiscombe West ward, where AWP’s candidate Saffron Gloyne stood for the first time, she received 155 votes / 1.6%.

Although our candidates weren’t elected, both results are impressive for a first time standing and given that many of the parties AWP was standing against had larger campaign …
